Installation
When installed correctly, Recycled Rubber Product's rubber mulch will last for years without bio-degrading. To properly install KinderMulch rubber mulch, border the play area using rubber timbers. Treated 6" x 6" lumber purchased from a local hardware store may also be used. Stack the timbers two high, one below grade and the other on top, and nail them together using spikes.
After the border is installed, dig out the grass inside the border. Install a weed barrier thT can also be purchased from a hardware store. Spread a thin layer of sand on top to secure the weed barrier. Finally, spread the rubber chips into the play area and level them.
Proper installation will ensure KinderMulch will not blow away and will drain well even after a heavy rain. Within minutes of a rain storm, children will be able to return to the playground.
See your playground instruction manual regarding their recommendation on which to install first - the playground equipment or KinderMulch rubber mulch.
